"When we were considering hiring Scott to design our house we drove around Bend and looked at some of the other houses he’d designed. They shared many qualities; all were warm, inviting, and visually outstanding. But, what I was particularly struck by was the uniqueness of each home, that they weren’t cookie cutter versions of each other. It was clear to us that rather than taking one design and re-jigging it for different clients, each house was a unique and beautiful representation of the client’s vision.

Once we started the design process, I lugged my three binders stuffed with ideas to Scott’s office. Rather than being overwhelmed, he looked at the hundreds of pictures from magazines and books, asked us detailed questions about how we use our home and shaped what would become our dream house. Looking back, I appreciate the amount of patience Scott showed with us and our multitude of ideas!

Now that we have been in our house for a year, I can’t tell you how happy I am with Scott’s design. It’s a beautiful house that truly supports the lifestyle of our family - a kitchen with a dedicated baking area for me, a climbing wall leading to a play area for our son, and a large covered porch where my husband enjoys reading the paper on summer evenings.

Lastly, we very much enjoyed getting to know Scott as a person. He's engaging, knowledgeable and bursting with talent - we feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with him."
